Postcard from the Land of High Holy Daze

Someday, I will explain in full the reason for the long hiadus. For now, I can merely refer you back to last year's High Holy Day Season, throw in our decamping to East Greenbush and a movie filming in our house.

Yes, you read that right. They filmed part of a movie in our house. Hence the decamping.
As I said, someday full details will ensue. In the meanwhile, I can tell you that the snack tent for A Spot Past the Conifers looks like this:

That at 11 p.m., after lunch on the night shoot, a fruit spread is put out that looks like this:

Along with brownies spread with a Peanut Butter Nutella Frosting, that look like this:

That one of the producers is English, as is a decent percentage of the crew, so the tea supply looks like this:

And that lunch for the crew, at 10:30 pm, looked like this:

And I ate a slice of Vegan Chocolate Cake with Caramel Coconut Frosting that looked like this:

And I did meet celebrities. They were all very cordial, just like any other folks on their lunch break but in full stage makeup with personal assistants in tow. We are now back in our home, which is very kindly being gradually put back to its normal state. We are glad to be here.

In the meanwhile, it is High Holy Days and start of school, grad for me and Pre-K for Nome. And there are a few other moving pieces going on simultaneously. I'll be in and out over the next few weeks. Look for a full resumption of our regular schedule post-Simchat Torah.

Sincerely, The Nosher
